Camden County authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Saturday night in Gloucester Township.
It happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of NJ-42 near exit 9A where police received reports of a crash with injuries.
Emergency responders and rescue crews arrived at the scene and found a severely damaged vehicle with occupants trapped inside according to preliminary reports.
At least one person was pronounced dead at the scene with another suffering life-threatening injuries.
Two other victims were taken to an area hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries according to police.
The crash caused the road to close for several hours for the investigation.
