The event, held in partnership with the National Safe and Supportive Schools (NSAS) initiative, will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.

According to organizers, the virtual discussion will focus on the often-overlooked impacts of emotional abuse—especially the unintentional kind—and how parents, caregivers, and educators can foster healthier, more affirming relationships with children and teens.

“Too often, we think of abuse in strictly physical terms,” a spokesperson for Family Connections shared.

“But emotional harm can be just as damaging—and often more difficult to recognize. This webinar will equip families with tools to ensure that our youth are nurtured in environments where they feel seen, valued, and respected.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in an open conversation about child development, communication strategies, and everyday approaches to building trust and resilience in young people.

As a bonus, participants will also be entered into a drawing to win an Amazon or ShopRite gift card.
