A tractor-trailer is being blamed for causing an explosion that damaged several vehicles in Wayne Thursday morning.
Police say it happened next to the Valley Ridge Shopping Center located in the 500 block of Valley Road around 11 a.m.
Onlookers watched the fire department do their best to control the flames engulfing three vehicles after a tractor-trailer knocked the pole to the ground causing the transformer to ignite the vehicles.
Utility Crews were called in to de-energize the line. It soon became clear the vehicles would be severely damaged as the fire quickly turned into a light show, followed by a dramatic and dangerous finale.
Wayne Police say there were no occupants inside the vehicle and the driver of the truck did not suffer serious injuries.
