A car fire along Horseneck Road this morning caused road closures as crews worked on extinguishing the flames.
According to authorities, at approximately 7:50 a.m. Friday, the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Horseneck Road near Plymouth Street for a report of a working truck fire.
Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved pickup truck. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
Officials say Horseneck Road was shut down for a short period while the fire was extinguished.
According to authorities, there were no immediate reports of injuries.
