A Parsippany man in possession of a compressed air canister seriously injured his hand after the item exploded this morning in Paterson.
Authorities and the county's bomb squad responded to the area near 17th Avenue and East 25th Street this morning for an explosion.
According to initial investigation, the man appears to have been injured by a compressed air canister used for inhalants.
The man was transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Incident remains under investigation but according to police, there is no threat to the community.
