Exhaust Fumes to Blame for Death of Couple Found Dead Inside Car In Hackensack
Authorities confirmed that the couple found inside a parked SUV this morning died of carbon monoxide poising.
Police responded to Overlook Avenue across from the Stratford House high-rise condominiums shortly before 8:30 a.m. where they found the bodies of a 29-year-old city man and a 24-year-old New York City woman inside a parked 2003 Chevrolet Tracker with New York license plates.
It remains unclear what the couple was doing inside the vehicle.
Authorieites confirmed that a pink handbag was in fact found on the hood of the vehicle.
The victims' ties are being withheld pending notification of their families.
The Bergen County Medical Examiner are conducting autopsies.
