Ewing Car Crash Causes Severe Injuries

According to police, at approximately 2 a.m. Ewing Dispatch received multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding a two-vehicle crash, with injuries, in front of 1817 Pennington Road.

Responding officers encountered multiple trapped occupants in two vehicles. Ewing Fire Stations 30, 31, and 33 responded and freed the victims.

Police say a total of 8 passengers were involved in the crash, all of which sustained injuries.

Six were listed in critical condition and two were listed as having non-life threatening injuries.

Three of the passengers were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne, Pa. and the remaining five passengers were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.

A preliminary investigation indicated that one vehicle crossed the center line striking a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, head-on.

The roadway has since been reopened, however, the investigation into the crash is ongoing.

No charges have been filed at this time police said.
