Essex County Supervising Assistant Prosecutor William G. Neafsey has been honored as the 2024 Assistant Prosecutor of the Year by the New Jersey Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association (NJNEOA), announced Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II.
According to a statement released by Prosecutor Stephens, Neafsey, who has been with the Prosecutor’s Office for over twenty years, currently supervises the Prosecutor’s Narcotics Task Force.
His extensive career includes assignments in the Adult Trial, Gun Strategy, Carjacking, and Homicide units.
Neafsey will receive his award at the NJNEOA Annual Conference in Atlantic City, NJ, on Thursday, May 23.
