Elizabeth Police are investigating the cause of a crash Monday morning after a vehicle struck the exterior wall of the Dwyer Auditorium at Elizabeth High School.

According to preliminary information submitted by Spokeswoman Ruby Contreras , the incident occurred at approximately 8:02 a.m. when a vehicle was seen traveling erratically on Bridge Street toward Pearl Street.
The driver reportedly went through a red light, mounted the curb and sidewalk, and then collided with the building.

One student sustained a minor leg injury and was transported to Beth Israel Hospital for evaluation as a precaution.
No other students, pedestrians, or vehicles were involved, officials said.
The driver also suffered apparent minor injuries and was taken to University Hospital for treatment. Authorities reported that no major injuries resulted from the incident.
The crash remains under investigation by Elizabeth Police.
