UPDATE: Englewood, Hackensack Men Arrested on Aggravated Charges Following Bogota Bar Shooting

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrests of Zachary C. Anderson, 26, of Englewood, NJ, and Corey A. Mckay, Jr., 22, of Hackensack, on charges of Aggravated Assault.

According to authorities, on December 12th, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that a shooting occurred on Leonia Avenue, in the area of Buddy’s Place bar, in the Borough of Bogota.

Responding officers and EMS treated Dakota Johnson, who suffered an apparent gunshot wound.

Officials say Johnson was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead police said.

The ensuing investigation revealed that a physical altercation occurred between numerous individuals.

According to authorities, on December 12, 2018, Talek Lawson was charged with the murder of Dakota Johnson and Justin Dula was charged with aggravated assault. These charges were previously announced on December 13, 2018.

Additional investigation revealed that Anderson and Mckay, Jr. had each also assaulted a party, attempting to cause serious bodily injury. The injured party was transported to a local hospital and treated for his injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Mckay, Jr. was arrested on Jan. 17th in Hackensack, and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault. Mckay, Jr. is scheduled for a detention hearing in Hackensack in Jan. 23rd at 9 a.m.

Police arrested Anderson on Jan. 22nd, in Bogota, and charged him with one count of Aggravated Assault. He’s scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, on Feb. 4th at 9 a.m.
