Police are reporting critical injuries for a child found choking in a section of Freehold Saturday evening.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were called to the single-digit block of Whistler Driver after they received reports of an injured child around 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency responders began CPR on the unconscious and unresponsive victim before EMS rushed them to Jersey Shore Medical Center under police escort.
Police have not confirmed what exactly the child was choking on during the incident.
The investigation remains active.
