Emergency Responders Rescue Man Who Fell on Train Tracks at Newark Penn Station

The  Newark Emergency Responders contingency rescued a man who fell onto the train tracks at Penn Station Sunday. 

The early morning incident happened around 3:45 a.m. on the Penn Station train tracks at 1 Raymond Plaza West. 

According to preliminary information, NJ Transit Police responded to that section of the station after receiving reports of a person on the train tracks. 

Upon arrival, police requested Newark firefighters for assistance in removing the injured man from the tracks.

According to reports, rescue crews used a stoke basket and a ladder to assist the victim off the track, who reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries. 

Camp

He was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover. 

NJ Transit police are trying to determine who the man fell on the tracks. 

No other injuries were reported.
