Authorities in Somerset County have reported that emergency services from Franklin Township, New Brunswick, New Jersey State Police, Rutgers University, and Piscataway all swiftly responded to a distress call involving a 58-year-old male and his wife, both from Edison, who were stranded on their jet ski in shallow waters in the Raritan River.
The incident occurred on July 30, at approximately 1:54 p.m., according to Somerset County officials.
SCPO officials stated that the Franklin Township Police Department received a 911 call from a male who was in distress, which was traced to a location behind 935 Easton Ave.

The stranded individuals were safely rescued, and no injuries were reported, SCPO officials said.
