Elizabeth Police are investigating a stabbing that injured a male at a location in the city Thursday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of Second Street and Elizabeth Avenue to investigate reports of a person injured shortly before 9:25 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified male suffering a stab wound in the chest.
Police say the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and remains in an unknown condition.
The motive for the stabbing has not been released.
