Elizabeth Shots Fired Incident Results in High-Speed Pursuit Ending in Jersey City

Police officials have not immediately confirmed severe injuries from a shots-fired incident that erupted on a street in Elizabeth Thursday night.

According to a preliminary investigation, police responded to reports of multiple rounds of gunfire that rang out in the vicinity of Magnolia Avenue and 3rd Street just before 9 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found shell casings in front of a business at that location.

Witnesses informed police that suspects fled the area in a light-colored car occupied by at least three perpetrators.

Police patrolling the area spotted the car and attempted to get the driver to pull over, but he refused then sped towards the Newark border.

Authorities say the suspects made it to the Pulaski Skyway, where they bailed from the vehicle in the vicinity of 78 Fleet Street in Jersey City.

There were no official reports of arrests.
