Police in Elizabeth are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shots-fired incident that occurred in a section of the city Wednesday night.
According to police, at approximately 9 p.m., gunfire rang out in the area of Clarkson Avenue and Richmond Street, sending police to the scene to investigate.
Units arrived and placed the hospital on notice for potential gunshot walk-in victims after finding evidence that a shooting occurred, but no victims were located.
Police say the suspects fled the scene and have not been captured.
