Police are investigating a string of vehicle break-ins that occurred last night outside the Planet Fitness in Elizabeth.
According to reports, police arrived to the Planet Fitness sometime before 9:30 p.m. Monday for reports of several vehicle break-ins at that location.
Upon arrival, police found as many as five cars that had been ransacked reports said.
At least one of the vehicle's window had been smashed in an effort to gain entry into the vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
No immediate information was available as to what items were taken from the vehicles.
