An armed robbery reported by a victim in Elizabeth has police looking into the incident.
According to reports, police were called to the area on Division and Trumbull streets before 11 p.m. where they met the victim who stated that they were robbed at an undisclosed location in the city.
The victim reportedly told police that an armed man approached demanding cash and other personal possessions at gunpoint.
The suspect had taken a wallet, phone, and other belongings before he fled the scene on foot reports said.
The physically unharmed victim reportedly walked home to contact police.
The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
