Police in Elizabeth are investigating a reported armed robbery at gunpoint that occurred last evening near a bank in the city.
The victim reported being robbed in the 800 block of Newark Ave. shortly before 7 p.m. by as many as four black males who were armed with a weapon. The suspects reportedly stole several hundred dollars before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
There were no injuries reported.
