A fast-moving fire that engulfed a house in Elizabeth had firefighters on the scene on Saturday evening.
Heavy fire tore through a large single family wood framed house located at 700 Westminster Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. sending firefighters to the scene after they received reports of possible trapped and injured occupants.
Elizabeth Firefighters utilized multiple water lines as they arrived to find flames extending from the structure.
Crews beat down those flames where they then made entry into the residence for a search that came back negative for injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
