Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left a person seriously injured overnight in Elizabeth.
First responders arrived to the North Avenue East overpass at Dowd Street shortly before 3 a.m where they found a serious crash with an occupant trapped inside.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark with serious injuries.
Investigators from the Union County Prosecutor's Office were called to the scene to conduct an investigation.
The cause of the crash is not known at this time.
