A Middlesex County meat processor is recalling tens of thousands of pounds of pork products that were distributed with counterfeit federal inspection marks, according to information released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Sabrositos Hondureños, LLC, based in Edison, has pulled back roughly 32,000 pounds of items, including chorizo, pork chops, and ribs. Investigators with the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said the products were produced without federal inspection and carried a fraudulent establishment number “EST. 1785,” which does not exist.
The affected items, sold under the “OLANCHO” brand name, include several varieties of homestyle and smoked chorizo, smoked pork chops, and smoked ribs.
All were produced before August 20, 2025, and shipped to restaurants and retail stores nationwide.
The issue came to light during routine surveillance when inspectors discovered the false USDA inspection marks on products in circulation.
Officials warn consumers that any meat packages bearing the fraudulent number should be considered misbranded and unsafe to eat.

FSIS noted the recall list may expand as the investigation continues.
