Edison Man Injured After his Car Crashes, Overturns on The Garden State Parkway in Cranford

NJ State Police officials are investigating a car crash that severely injured a Middlesex County Man on a highway in Cranford on Sunday morning. 

According to State Police officials, Troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of the Garden Stare Parkway at milepost 137.5 around 2:56 am. 

Officials said a preliminary investigation revealed a Lexus passenger car was traveling southbound on GSP when in the area of milepost 137.5, the vehicle entered the left shoulder and impacted the concrete center divider.

The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to overturn. 

Police say the driver, only identified as a 32-year-old man from Edison, sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
