Edison to Hold Valentine’s Day Dance for Individuals with Disabilities This Friday

Mayor Sam Joshi, the Edison Recreation Department, and the Edison Visionary Lions Club enthusiastically invite residents to the Valentine’s Day Dance for Individuals with Disabilities, an evening sure to be filled with music, dancing, snacks, and lots of fun!

“The Edison Recreation Department and I are committed to providing programs that are comprehensive and serve all residents,” Mayor Joshi said. 

“Events are an opportunity to celebrate our town’s diversity, and I hope all eligible residents will consider joining us for this wonderful dance.”

The dance is this Friday, February 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and will be held at the Minnie B. Veal Community Center located at 1070 Grove Avenue. 

Only teens and adults with disabilities may attend, and guardians are required to escort participants inside. 

Admission costs only $5.00 per person, thanks to generous sponsorships by the Edison Recreation Department and the Edison Visionary Lions Club. 

Anyone interested in attending can sign up online at www.EdisonNJ.gov and click on Register for Recreation Now.

Follow the instructions and either mail or bring it to the Recreation Department located at 100 Municipal Boulevard, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please fax any group home lists to (732) 985-0443 by February 1.
