A high-speed pursuit that began in East Orange came to a crashing end in Newark at around late night.
Police attempted to pull over a vehicle with its city limits at around 11 p.m.when the driver of the car ignored officer's lights and sirens and sped away.
Police chased the vehicle into Newark where a crash occurred on 18th Avenue and South 17th Street near West Side Park.
At least one police officer was transported to University Hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries according to preliminary reports.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
There are no immediate reports of arrests.
