Newark Police arrested Mr. Kyle A. Paul, 23 and Mr. Rijkaard E. Russel, 26, both of East Orange, for an incident of illegal dumping that occurred today -Friday-.
According to a statement released by police, at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force observed two males in a white van removing several TV sets and plastic bags of debris from the van then putting them into an abandoned house in the area of Whitney Street and South Orange Avenue.
Newark officials say detectives from the Illegal Dumping Task Force stopped the suspects and arrested them.
Both men has been charged with illegal dumping and the illegal transport of solid waste.
Police say their van was subsequently towed and is subject to confiscation by forfeiture.
These charges are merely accusations.
Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
