A 19-year-old East Orange man has charged with the murder of a Newark cook, authorities announced.
According to authorities, Tyrie Bullock, 19, of East Orange has been arrested for the murder of Edgar Patricio Jimenez-Dominguez, 27, of Newark.
Jimenez-Dominguez, a cook, was fatally shot in the 100 block of North 7th Street at approximately 6:06 a.m. on Sunday. The preliminary investigation indicates it was a robbery.
Bullock has been charged with robbery, murder, felony murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. He was arrested at his home in East Orange.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
