East Orange Hosts “Leap Into Spring” Celebration and Annual Easter Events

Spring has sprung and The Honorable Mayor Ted R. Green, the East Orange City Council and the Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs are hosting plenty of family-friendly events to celebrate the season!

The city has forwarded a full schedule of city-sponsored events:

Sunday, April 2 • 1pm-3pm at Columbian Park 

Easter Basket Giveaway featuring grab n’ go gift baskets filled with plenty of treats!

Sponsored by Fifth Ward Councilmembers Alicia Holman and Mustafa Brent in partnership with the Fifth Ward County Committee and Clinton Memorial AME Church Outreach Ministry.  

Thursday, April 6 • 4pm-6pm at Rowley Park                                                                                 

Easter Party featuring photos with Mr. Bunny, an egg hunt, face painting, snacks, Easter crafts and more!  

Camp

Sponsored by Mayor Ted R. Green, Second Ward Councilmembers Christopher Awe and Brittany Claybrooks in partnership with Save the Kids Village.

Saturday, April 8 • 12 pm-4 pm at Elmwood Park                                                                       

“Leap Into Spring” Celebration featuring a massive egg hunt, train rides, bouncy houses, rock climbing, music, food, games, bicycle and gift card giveaways, raffle prizes and more!     

Sponsored by Mayor Ted R. Green, Third Ward Councilmembers Vernon Pullins, Jr. and Bergson Leneus, Fourth Ward Councilmembers Casim Gomez and Tameika Garrett-Ward in partnership with the Ted R. Green Foundation, the Shauger Group, Rita’s of East Orange, Camacho Floats, Fuzz 1 Security, and Langston Hughes Elementary PTO.
