Authorities are currently investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in Irvington Township, with the victim self-transporting to a local hospital early Saturday morning.
The incident came to light after officials at CareWell Health Medical Center, formerly known as East Orange General Hospital, alerted police following the victim's arrival at the emergency room with a stab wound.
Upon interviewing the victim, police were informed that the altercation took place on Myrtle Avenue in Irvington Township.
Irvington Township Police Department has been notified and an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has been launched. 
The injuries sustained by the victim are not considered life-threatening.
The motive behind the stabbing is still being determined, and no arrests have been made. The investigation continues as authorities seek to understand the events that led to this violent encounter.
