A 3-year-old East Orange girl attacked by a dog this morning was rushed to the hospital.
Police responded to a home on North Maple Avenue where Janaya Everett was bitten by the family dog - a pit bull-hound mix - in an upstairs bedroom.
According to family, the child was bitten on the scalp and also suffered scratches to her leg.
The incident is under investigation.
