East Brunswick Police Search for Suspect Wanted for Attempted Luring Near Bus Stop

The East Brunswick Police Department is investigating a suspicious incident in which a juvenile reported being approached by an adult male at a bus stop.

Officials said in a statement released to the public that the initial report to police was belated and received at approximately 4:53 pm on Wednesday at approximately 3:42 pm on the corner of Arthur Street and Willow Street.

Officials say during this time, an older white male was driving a black Ford pickup truck with an unknown NJ vehicle registration.

The driver put his window down and told the juvenile “hey kid come here.” The child ran down the street while the driver continued to call him to “come here.”

The vehicle was last observed traveling east on Arthur Street and making a right turn onto Old Bridge Turnpike southbound officials said in the statement.

The vehicle was described as a Ford pickup truck with a “horse-like” decal on the back window, a construction light bar on top of the roof and tinted windows.

Police are conducting increased directed patrols of the area and the East Brunswick Police Department's Investigative Bureau is investigating the incident.
