NEWARK NJ: A strong odor of gas on the Rutgers Newark campus sent emergency responders to one of the dorm buildings located in the 100 block of University Avenue at around 1 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to the scene where they immediately searched for the source of the suspicious odor around the University Square Residences before contacting PSEG.
The cause of the odor is believed to be natural gas related but is under investigation.
There were no injuries immediately reported
