The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office are looking in an early morning stabbing that killed one person in Hamilton Township Sunday morning.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 1:35 a.m. in the vicinity of 238 Steward Street where 911 calls notified police of a person suffering injuries at that location.
Police say officers arrived at the scene found at least one severely injured unidentified person bleeding heavily after being stabbed multiple times.
EMS rushed the victim to the hospital where doctors made the pronouncement a short time later according to officials.
Police would not immediately confirm if there was a second victim nor would they would release a motive for the stabbing at this time. Authorities referred all questions to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office who were not immediately available for comment.
The incident remains under investigation.
