Police in Newark are investigating an early morning robbery near a park in downtown Newark Friday.
Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery in progress near 83 Lincoln Park around 3 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found the victim, who reported that an armed suspect approached and took personal possession then fled the scene in his vehicle.
Police quickly located the unoccupied Mercedes, but the suspect remained at large.
There were no physical injuries reported.
