Early Morning Multiple Car Crash Causes Injuries on Garden State Parkway in Cranford; Second Crash in Less Than 12 Hours

In the second car crash in nearly the same spot on The Garden State Parkway in Cranford, NJ State Police officers were called to the southbound lanes of the highway near exit 137 after they received reports of a multi-car crash with injuries reported at around 4:34 a.m.

Units arrived at the scene and found about four vehicles involved in a collision, but there were no severe injuries reported.

Police closed off several lanes for the cleanup and investigation according to authorities.

On Tuesday at approximately 6:45 p.m., a car crash that involved about ten vehicles in the southbound lanes near mile marker 137.9 had emergency responders on the scene where several victims were taken to area hospitals including University Hospital in Newark suffering non-life threatening injuries.
