Police in Jersey City are searching for a suspect wanted for an armed robbery of a gas station in the city on Friday morning.
At approximately 2:34 a.m., police were dispatched to the Sonoco Gas Station located in the 700 block of Tonnele Avenue to investigate reports of a robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, police were told by employees that a male suspect pulled up in a white GMC SUV and produced a weapon, then demanded cash.
Police say the suspect took an unknown amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
The suspect remains at large. Police reported no injuries.
