Fire officials in East Orange are looking into a fire that tore through a building in East Orange early Friday morning.
Fire broke out inside a house located in the 100 block of Steuben Street at approximately 3 a.m. sending firefighters to the scene where crews observed a fire coming from the fire floor of the wood-framed structure upon their arrival.
Crews used caution while inside the structure searching for trapped and injured occupants as the stairs began to collapse in the rear of the house.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
