Middlesex County authorities are investigating a shooting that has fatal injuries reported at a location in Edison.
Police have not released much details regarding the circumstances of the incident, but according to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 789 Amboy Avenue -Speedway Gas Station- after they received reports of shots fired.
Units arrived at the scene and found a severely injured unconscious person at that location according to reports.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene according to reports.
It is not immediately clear if the victim was an employee of the gas station at this time. It is believed that the incident may have begun as a robbery.
