Early Morning Crash Kills Man in Gloucester Township

Officials in Camden County are looking into the cause of the crash that killed a man in Gloucester Township Saturday morning. 

Police say at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department were dispatched to the 1900 block of Sicklerville Road for the report of a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, police learned the vehicle drove southbound on Sicklerville Road when it lost control and left the roadway and into the wooded area.

 According to police, the driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sicklerville Road was closed between Jarvis Road and Stonebridge Drive for several hours during the initial stages of the investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team. (SCIT).

Police said the driver's name is not being released at this time, pending the completion of the investigation.
