Police in Kearny are investigating an early morning crash that caused temporary traffic disruptions along the Newark-Jersey City Turnpike on Sunday.

According to preliminary reports, the collision occurred around 1:10 a.m. in the vicinity of 849 Newark-Jersey City Turnpike.
When officers arrived, they found two vehicles involved in a crash that brought down utility wires and damaged a pole.
Firefighters and EMS were called to the scene to assist, and westbound lanes were temporarily closed as crews worked to clear debris and investigate the cause of the crash.
No severe injuries were immediately reported.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kearny Police Department.
