Newark emergency crews responded to an overnight crash that left a woman trapped inside an overturned vehicle early Saturday morning.

The crash occurred shortly after 2 a.m. in the area of Lyons Avenue and Fabyan Place, where firefighters arrived and confirmed that a female occupant was trapped inside the vehicle.
Newark firefighters immediately began an extrication operation to safely remove the woman from the wreckage.
By approximately 2:17 a.m., crews reported that the extrication had been completed.
The woman was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment. Her condition was not immediately available.
A minor who was also at the scene was evaluated by emergency medical personnel. It was not immediately clear whether the minor suffered any injuries.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, and no additional details were immediately available.
