Newark Police officials are investigating a car theft that occurred on a street in the city Thursday morning.
Officers were called to the vicinity of West Market and Central Avenue to investigate reports of a theft of a vehicle. When they arrived, they were told by the victim that someone made off with their black Dodge Charger at approximately 2:40 a.m.
The vehicle has a reported partial plate of "S92" and may belong to a Newark law enforcement officer.
The incidnet remains under investigation.
