An early morning fire that broke out inside a glass sculpturing business in Hillsborough has fire officials investigating.
According to a statement released by Hillsborough fire officials, police responded to Belle Mead Hot Glass located at 884 Route 206 for a reported structure fire just before 1:30 a.m.
Officials say firefighters arriving at the scene observed a section of the building engulfed in flames.
A search of the structure had firefighters locating no occupants inside during the fire officials said.
Responding Fire Departments extinguished the fire, but the business suffered extensive damage and was deemed unsuitable to be open for business due to significant damage according to officials.
Though the fire did not appear suspicious, the cause remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department and Hillsborough Fire Safety Bureau officials said.
