Early Morning Blaze Damages Piscataway Home

Firefighters from Piscataway and surrounding towns battled an early morning fire on Sunday that significantly damaged a residential property.

FitnessThe blaze, which ignited at 1696 West 7th Street around 3:05 a.m., prompted a response from multiple fire crews.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met with intense flames emanating from the house, with the fire visibly spreading from the basement.

Efforts to combat the fire involved deploying several water lines and striking a second alarm to call for additional manpower to tackle the stubborn blaze.

As the fire advanced to the first floor, more fire companies were called to the scene to assist in the firefighting efforts.

Despite the challenging conditions, the fire had not been brought under control by 4:15 a.m., and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
