Police in Newark are investigating a reported armed carjacking that occurred in a section of the city's Central Ward on Wednesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were notified of the incident that occurred near the vicinity of Central Avenue and Norfolk Street around 2:23 a.m.
Police say as many as four suspects approached the victim - one armed with a gun - and stole a white four-door 2016 Honda Accord.
The suspects sped from the scene and remain at-large.
There were no physical injuries reported.
