Police in Newark are investigating an armed carjacking that happened in the city's West Ward early this morning.
The incident was reported in the area of 18th Avenue and West End Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. where police arrived at the scene and were informed by the victim that two male suspects approached armed with a gun and stole the vehicle.
The vehicle is 2012 dark green Camry with an unreported license plate number according to reports.
The suspects have been described as two "young" black males around 5'7" tall and were wearing dark clothing.
There were no reports of physical injuries.
