An early morning carjacking reported in Newark has police searching for the suspects responsible for the crime.
According to reports, the incident was reported at around 2:49 a.m. in the area of Vanderpool Street and Pennsylvania Avenue sending police to the scene where they met with the victim who reported that shortly before officers' arrival, two black male suspects approached armed with a handgun and demanded the vehicle.
The suspects took the victim's silver 4-door 2015 BMW then sped away from the scene.
There were no reports of physical injuries reported.
Newark Police are investigating.
