DWI Checkpoint Announced for Washington Twp.

Washington Township (Morris)

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Investigations John Speirs, and Washington Township Chief of Police Jeffrey Almer announce the implementation of a joint Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint in Washington Township, on August 27th and August 28th, 2016.

Law enforcement personnel from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Washington Township Police Department will be conducting the checkpoint.

The checkpoint is a result of a grant the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has received from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety to conduct DWI checkpoints at various locations throughout Morris County.

The County DWI Enforcement Grant is designed to establish checkpoints in cooperation with municipal police departments in the county.
