DWI Checkpoint Announced for Jefferson Twp.

Jefferson Township

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Investigations John Speirs, and Jefferson Township Chief of Police William Craig announce the implementation of a joint Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint in Jefferson Township on Sept. 23rd and Sept. 24th.

Law enforcement personnel from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Jefferson Township Police Department will be conducting the checkpoint.

The checkpoint is a result of a grant the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has received from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety to conduct DWI checkpoints at various locations throughout Morris County.

The County DWI Enforcement Grant is designed to establish checkpoints in cooperation with municipal police departments in the county.
