Drivers Killed in Burlington County Head-on Car Crash

NJ State Police officials are investigating a head-on crash that killed two drivers on Sunday night in Burlington County.

According to a statement released by NJ State Police officials, Troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Sunday at 2:03 p.m. that occurred on NJ -72 at mile post2.8, Woodland Township.

NJ State Police officials say a Dodge Caravan - driven by Zachary Janda, 18, from Tuckerton- was traveling east on NJ-72 while a Mercury Grand Marquis -driven by a 92-year-old male from Hamilton moved west on NJ -72.

Police say the left front of the Dodge struck the left front of the Mercury in the westbound lane.

According to police, both drivers suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.

The cause remains under investigation.
